THOMAS WOODROW WILSON, Mrs WOODROW WILSON née EDITH WHITE BOLLING

Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born on 28 December 1856 in Staunton, Virginia to Joseph Ruggles Wilson (1822-1903) and Janet E Woodrow (1826-1888). Woodrow had one brother, Joseph Ruggles (1856-1924).

Woodrow married Ellen Louise Axson on 25 June 1885 in Savannah, Georgia. Ellen was born on 15 May 1860 in Savannah to Samuel Edward Axson (1838-1884) and Margaret Jane Hoyt (1838-1881). Ellen had three siblings, Stockton (1867-1935), Edward William (1876-19050 and Margaret Randolph (1881-1958).

Woodrow and Ellen had three daughters,

Margaret Woodrow (1886-1944),
Jessie Woodrow (1887-1933) and
Eleanor Randolph (1889-1967).

Ellen died on 6 August 1914 in Washington, DC.

Woodrow married Edith White Bolling on 18 December 1914 in Washington. Edith was born on 15 October 1872 in Wytheville, Wythe, Virginia to William Holcomb Bolling (1837-1899) and Sallie White (1843-1925). Edith had eight siblings, Rolfe Emerson (1861-1936), Gertrude (1863-1961), Annie Lee (1865-1917), William Archibald (1867-1934), Bertha (1869-1937), John Randolph (1876-1952), Richard Wilmer (1879-1951) and Julian Brandon (1882-1951). Edith was the widow of Norman Galt (1864-1908) by whom she had one child who died in infancy.

Woodrow was President of the US from 4 March 1913 to 4 March 1921.

Woodrow died on 3 February 1924 in Washington. Ellen died on 28 December 1961 also in Washington.
