Alexander Bannerman was born on 15 September 1843 in W Gwilimbury, Simcoe County to John Bannerman and Elizabeth Dale. His parents had left Scotland as part of the Highland Clearances and first tried to settle in what is now the Winnipeg area. Alexander married Elizabeth Ann Huffman (1850-1935) in 1868. Alexander and his bride came to Bruce County which was then virgin timber.
Alexander and Elizabeth had seven children one of who died in infancy,

Mary Ellen (1879-1950) and
Joseph (1880-1905).
John married Elizabeth Ellen Mowbray on 10 January 1894 in Culross. Elizabeth was born on 4 May 1872 in Osborne Twp, Huron County to Robert Mowbray (b 1842) and Mary Kidd (b 1846). Elizabeth had four siblings, John (1864-1954), Joseph (1868-1909), Robert (b 1869) and Margaret Jane (1876-1948).

Mabel married Alfred Milton Scott Ross (1905-1991) sometime after 1921. Alfred was born on 13 November 1905 in Culross to Alfred William David Ross (1879-1948) and Florence Louisa (Flossie) Scott (1884-1963). Alfred Jr had one sister, Jessie (b 1916).
Alfred Sr was born on 3 July 1879 in Culross to George Ross (1838-1900) and Mary Ann Latimer (1838-1916). Alfred Sr had seven siblings, Robert (b 1864), George Samuel (1866-1883), Barbara Annie (1874-1974), Deborah Ellen (1874-1943), Mary Eliza (b 1875), John Albert (b 1876) and Georgina Matilda (1884-1907).
William Henry Bannerman was born on 28 July 1871 in King Twp, York County. He married Pauline (Polly) Lavina Freiburger on 11 July 1893 in Kincardine, Bruce County. Polly was born on 29 November 1876 in Culross to Andrew Freiburger (1843-1917) and Annie Tarlow (1844-1917). Poly had eight siblings, Magdelana (1872-1948), Mary/Maria A (b 1875), Lory (b 1877), Joseph (b 1879), Andrew (b 1883), Philipus Peter (1885-1963), Jacob (b 1889) and Ada/Ida Jean/Jane (1890-1982).
William and Polly had five children,

Annie Lavina (1900-1960).
William Ernest was born on 5 September 1895 in Holyrood, Bruce County. He married Winnifred May (Winnie) Simms on 18 May 1921 in Wingham, Huron County. Winnie was born in 1897 in Wiltshire, England to Rueben Simms and Annie Weston. She came to Canada to marry William, sailing on SS ‘Caronia’, arriving in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 22 April 1921, her passage having paid by him.
William died on 26 January 1970 and Winnie died in 1976.
Annie Lavina married Joseph Earl Green on 14 June 1922 in Teeswater. Joseph was born on 1 September 1897 in Culross to James "Albert" Green (1864-1945) and Sarah Amelia Sillick (b 1874). Joseph had two brothers, Alvin Albert (b 1895) and Clarence Sillick (1901-1983). Alvin was born on 8 May 1895 in Teeswater. Alvin was a sailor and in 1914 he travelled to the United States. He married Aleatha May McIntosh (b 1903) on 18 January 1922 in Culross. Aleatha was his step-sister being the daughter of George A McIntosh (1863-1910) and Jane Gaunt (1873-1936).
James "Albert" Green was born on 10 April 1864 in Culross to James Green (1815-1892) and Susannah M Case (1824-1888). Albert had ten siblings, Robert (1844-1913), Mary Ann (b 1848), Arthur (1848-1871), Alfred (b 1851), Ellen (b 1854), Caroline (1854-1882), Harriet (1854-1921), Alice (b 1855), John (b 1860) and Elizabeth "Jane" (1860-1922).
Albert and Sarah separated and subsequently after his divorce, Albert married Jane McIntosh née Gaunt (1873-1936).
Polly’s sister Magdelana was born on 29 November 1872 in Greenock Twp, Bruce County. She married John S Forsythe on 4 December 1895 in Carrick Twp, Bruce County. John was born on 2 April 1864 to Alexander Forsythe (1825-1896) and Ann Shackleton (1826-1886).

Emma Flora (1906-1977).
John married Mary Caroline Ruetz on 20 November 1923 in Walkerton, Bruce County. Mary was born on 14 June 1895 to John Matthew Ruetz (b 1857) and Mary Hoffarth (b 1863). Mary had six siblings, Nicholas Conrad (1883-1969), Joseph P (1885-1959), Rosina (1891-1983), William (b 1897), Ceclia Catherine (1897-1994) and Bernhardt (1899-1931).
John S Forsythe had five siblings, Alexander (1854-1928), Jane (b 1867), Mary (b 1867), Emma (1869-1899) and William (b 1871).
Alexander was born on 15 September in Greenock Twp, Bruce County. He married Margaret Symon (b 1869) on 6 November 1889 in Greenock. Alexander and Margaret had two children,
Alex Forsythe (b 1855) and
Thomas Edwin (1890-1938).
Thomas was born on 8 September 1890 in Greenock and died on 9 February 1938.
