ALEXANDER GRANT & Mrs A GRANT née MARY ANN DALGLEISH

Alexander Grant was born on 26 January 1865 in Glenwhirry, Antrim, Ireland to Robert Grant and Charlotte McNeill. Nothing further has been found about his parents and siblings.

Alexander married Mary Ann Dalgleish on 10 May 1887 in Teeswater. Mary was born on 19 May 1863 in Manners Sutton, New Brunswick to George Dalgeish (1827-1895) and Isabella Davidson (1834-1921). Mary had nine siblings, Anthony (1857-1933), Ann (1860-1928), John Davidson (1866-1944), George (1867-1936), Eleanor I. "Ellen" (1869-1955), Charles Frederick (1872-1885), William Henry (1875-1914), Thomas Adam (1877-1941) and Edith (1880-1905).

Alexander was a shoe-maker through-out his life. He and Mary had four children,

Charlotte Isabel (b 1887),
Annie (1889-1987),
William Alexander (b 1892) and
Mary Matilda (1896-1926).

Alexander died in Walkerton, Bruce County on 17 October 1918 and Mary died in 1941.
