ANDREW "HORACE" JOHNSTON

Andrew "Horace" Johnston was born on 2 April 1900 in Walkerton, Bruce County to Andrew Patterson Johnston (1876-1923) and Jessie Maude Etsell (1877-1953). Horace had six siblings, Jessie Marguerite (b 1902), Abraham Claude (b 1904), Roy Francis (b 1906), William Howard (b 1909), Kenneth Raymond (b 1911) and Kathleen (b 1917).

Unfortunately we have been unable to find very little more about Horace. In the 1921 Census his occupation might have been ‘climber’ but the original document is very difficult to decipher.

In 1935, he appears to be living with his wife at App 6 264 St George, Spadina, Toronto. His widowed mother, Jessie, and three siblings, Kenneth (manager), Marguerite (cook) and William (clerk) are also living at the same address.

This family can be found on Ancestry under the title Culross Johnston Tree.
