As a re
sult of the interest generated by the activities of the Canadian Red Red Cross Quilt research group, similar quilts which have been passed down within families come to light.
This quilt is one such.
The centre block reads: “John Fisher School, 40 Erskine Avenue, Toronto, Ont, Canada”
There about 1340 names on the quilt; most are still readable.
Research continues.
