NAMES ON THE QUILT

Using the historical records available at Ancestry, the Family Search facility of the Latter-Day Saints and provincial record collections in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and British Colombia we have identified the families of many of those named on the quilt. The Henderson city directories for Saskatoon available online via the Saskatoon Library service have enabled us to confirm occupations and addresses in many cases. Some names have proved impossible to identify and for a slightly larger number we have failed to uniquely identify the named individual and have several potential ‘candidates’. See Still Searching.

The family relationships which we have identified have been made available to the public on Ancestry. The family stories of those named on the quilt are provided under Biographies.

Analysis of the information that we have collected about those named on the quilt is in the following diagrams and indicate the wide spread in age, religion, occupations and locations that the quilt signers represent.
