Olive May Bartlett was born April 1892 in Ashwick, Somerset, England, the daughter of Samuel Gulliford Bartlett & Sarah Denning. Olive May had one sister, Margaret (b 1883) and three brothers, Edgar Alfred (b 1883), Reuben (B 1885) & Eric (b 1895).
In 1906 Olive May’s mother Sarah and her sister travelled to Saskatoon. Sarah is described as a widow in the travel record, but this appears to be a mistake as in the English census of 1911, the family are living with her parents in Ashwick, Somerset. In 1908, Sarah travelled back to Canada with Olive May and Eric. Perhaps the English census record is wrong because in June 1911 at the time of the Saskatoon census (and confirmed by the Henderson directory) Margaret and Olive May are living at 319 22nd St E - Margaret was a secretary for Gratias Land Co and Olive May was a stenographer for CNR.
From 1916-1920, the mother & daughters were living at #404, Ross Building, 116 3rd Ave S, Saskatoon.
Their family tree can be found on Ancestry under the title 3rd Ave Bartlett Tree.
