Alice "Mary" O'Flynn was born on 20 October 1876 in Mulmur, Simcoe South, Ontario to Stephen Frank Myles O'Flynn (1851-1914) & Margaret (Maggie) McCree Johnston (b 1858). Mary had two brothers, John Franklin (1878-1963) & Thomas Johnson (b 1882) and three sisters, Ethel M (b 1880), Bertha E (b 1883) & Edith M (b 1887).
Mary married Dr Edward Cassidy Campbell on 22 June 1904 in Shelburne, Dufferin, Ontario. Edward Cassidy Campbell was born on 29 February 1872 in West Garafraxa Township, Wellington Co, Ontario to William Campbell (1821-1906) & Ann Cassidy (1833-1920). Edward had five brothers, James (b 1856), John (b 1860), William White (1866-1907), George Irvin (1868-1923) & Henry Thomas (1870-1939) and five sisters, Sarah Ann (1858-1939), Susan Beatrice (1862-1947), Margaret (b 1864), Ella (Ellen) Matilda (1874-1949) & Florence (Flora) Mary (b 1877).
Alice & Edward had four children, Margaret Alice (1905-1994), William Franklin (1906-1943), Dorothy McCrie (1909-1999) & Eric O’Flynn (1912-1982).
In 1911, the family moved to 705 Lansdowne Ave, Saskatoon and Edward set up his dental practice at 807 Broadway. By 1920 they were living at 111 Albert Ave and Edward’s practice was at Suite 1, McKay Block, 219 2nd Ave S. Edward continued his dental practice until Mary’s death in 1937.
Mary died on 9 September 1937 in Saskatoon. Edward died in Saskatoon 23 September 1939 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Their son, William Franklin Campbell was a Lieutenant-Commander in command of the HMCS Louisburg and died when it was sunk in the Mediterranean on 6 February 1943 following a U-boat attack.
Their daughter Margaret Alice married Drayton Earnest Walker (1900-1975) who was decorated in WWII for heroism. He was subsequently principal of Mount Royal Collegiate and had a significant influence on education in Saskatoon.
