WILLET HARRIS THOMPSON and MARY AGNES THOMPSON née McKEOWN

Willet Harris Thompson was born on 10 February 1874 in Sophiasburg, Ontario to Daniel Moray Thompson (b 1837) and Elizabeth Jane (Eliza) (b 1842) Thompson (also her maiden name). His siblings were: Jesse E (b 1864), William (b 1866), Cynthia (b 1867), Mary Lydia (1868-1928), Mary (b 1871), Burton C (b 1875), Phoebe (b 1880), Herbert C (b 1881), Amos L (b 1882), Edward A (b 1883) and Blanche (b 1885). He lived with his parents and siblings in various parts of Hastings County, Ontario until at least 1891.

Willet married Mary Agnes McKeown on 14 August 1901 in Havelock, Peterborough, Ontario. Mary was born on 23 March 1877 in Durham, Ontario to James McKeown (b 1845) and Mary E (b 1846). Her siblings were: Annie (b 1874), Harry (b 1880), Clarence N (b 1884) and Thomas (b 1889). The McKeown family lived in Hastings, Ontario in 1881 and in Peterborough in 1891 and 1901.

By 1911, Willet and Mary were living in Neudorf, Saskatchewan and the 1916 census found them in Bredenbury, Saskatchewan. In 1919, Willet was listed in the Saskatoon Henderson City Directory at 705 32nd St W as a train dispatcher for the Canadian National Railway (CNR). By 1920 they had moved to 816 7th Ave N and were still living there at the time of the 1921 census. The last Henderson listing that could be found for Willet was in 1928. At that time he was living at 739 8th Ave and was still a train dispatcher.

Willet died in Victoria, British Columbia on 13 May 1944. Nothing more could be found about Mary.
