Maude M Richardson was born 20 August 1886 in Havelock, Peterborough, Ontario to Robert Edward Richardson (1858-1921) and Margaret (Maggie) Brown (1860-1955). Her siblings were: Sarah May (1885-1978), Cassie (1889-1971), Charles (1890-1983), Ernest (1893-1893), Laura Belle (1894-1962), Henry Brown (Harry) (1896-1971), Frederick B (1898-1952), Gordon Elgin (1900-1986) and Francis Melville (Frank) (1904-1970). The Richardson family was in Belmont, Ontario in 1891, Dufferin, Manitoba in 1901 and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1906.
According to her obituary Maude was raised in Carman, Manitoba. By 1911, most of the Richardson family was living on 4-35-9-W3 in Loganton RM, Saskatchewan, but Maude was living at 803 Broadway South, Saskatoon and was working as a stenographer for National Trust Co. From 1915 to 1918 she lived at 515 12th St and was boarding with Thomas and Gertrude Girvin at that address in 1916. She continued to work for the same company during that time. Most of the Richardson family, including Maude, was living on 36-33-24-W3 in Oakdale RM in 1921. This land is near Kerrobert, Saskatchewan.
Again according to her obituary, Maude married Duncan Alexander McDonald in 1924. Duncan was born on 12 April 1888 in Clandeboye, Manitoba to Alexander McDonald (b 1846) and Elizabeth (Betsy) McDonnell (b 1857). His siblings were: Adeline (b 1877), William C (b 1878), Norman H (b 1880), Elizabeth Agnes (b 1883), Mary Florence (b 1885), Rose (b 1891) and Alice J (b 1893). The McDonald family lived in St Andrews, Manitoba from 1891 to 1906. According to his obituary, Duncan came to the Turtleford area to farm in 1919. According to Maude's obituary, they farmed in the Kerrobert District first and moved to the Turtleford District in 1933. They retired to Saskatoon in 1957, living at 708 Balmoral Avenue. No children were mentioned in either obituary. Duncan died on 27 November 1968 and Maude on 8 February 1986, just six months short of her 100th birthday. Both died in Saskatoon and were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.
