AGNES COLLINS PAFFARD née McINTYRE
Agnes Collins McIntyre was born on 1 September 1869 in Seaforth, Huron, Ontario to John McIntyre (1840-1911) and Christina Collins (1842-1882). Her siblings were: John Stephen (1870-1911), Margaret Isabella (b 1873), Nettie W (1875-1901), Laura (b 1878) and Thomas Collins (1882-1882). She was raised in Seaforth. Agnes married Arthur Henry Paffard on 21 June 1900 in Toronto, York, Ontario. He was born in 1869 in Niagara on the Lake to Henry Paffard (1824-1912) and Hannah Elizabeth (Annie, Bessie) Willson (1828-1899). His siblings were: Alice Mary (1864-1864), Bertha May (1865-1957) and Annie Lee (1867-1948).
On 23 October 1906 Agnes was appointed chairman of the Toronto Nurses Club. Minutes of the club can be viewed at this link. After their marriage Agnes and Arthur lived in Toronto, Ontario from at least 1911 to 1921. Agnes died on 15 January 1927 and Arthur on 31 January 1929, both in Toronto. They were buried in St Mark's Anglican Cemetery at Niagara on the Lake.
No A Paffard could be found associated with Saskatoon. It is a long shot that Agnes Paffard in this tree was the signer, but it was thought that perhaps her interest in the Toronto Nurses Club or possibly other nursing organizations may have brought her to Saskatoon during 1918 for a meeting and that she may have signed the quilt at that time. There were other Paffards in this tree with the initial A, but there is no reason to think that they had any reason to travel to Saskatoon.
This family tree can be found on Ancestry under the title 3rd Ave Paffard 2 Tree.
