Another quilt?

JENNIE MAY NEEDHAM née HUGHES

Jennie May Hughes was born on 14 November 1885 in Ilderton, Middlesex, Ontario to Leonard Hughes (1850-1928) and Keturah Cynthia (Kate) Levitt (1851-1897). Her siblings were: Thompson L (1880-1880), Elizabeth "Cynthia" (b 1883) and John Earl (b 1890). She was raised in London Township, Middlesex, Ontario and came to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in 1904. According to her obituary, she remained there for five years and then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Jennie married Charles "Austin" Needham on 15 September 1909 in Ilderton. Austin was born on 26 March 1886 in London Township to William Needham (1855-1907) and Elizabeth Tennent (1858-1903). He was an only child, raised in London Township. In 1906 he was enumerated in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and that was also the residence given on his marriage registration.

Austin and Jane had five children: Edith May (1912-1998), Dorothy Maxine (1918-2000), Leonard Austin (1922-2005) and two daughters who are possibly still living. They lived at 414 5th Ave North from at least 1911 to 1921. In 1918 Austin was president of Saskatoon Bread Company Ltd. Jennie died on 15 November 1963 and Austin on 13 January 1984. Both died in Saskatoon. Jennie was buried in the family plot in Woodlands Cemetery, London, Ontario and it is presumed that Austin was also.
