GEORGE ANDERSON
George Ritchie Anderson was born on 10 September 1880 in RM of North Dufferin, Manitoba to John Anderson (b 1855) & Frances Bethume (b 1859). George had three brothers, Charles Bethume (b 1882), James Jonson (b 1882) & Howard W A (b 1890) and one sister, Mary C (b 1890).
Raised in Manitoba, George was a Presbyterian and came to Saskatoon in 1906. He married Minnie May Burkitt (1888-1938) and they had two daughters, Frances Hannah May (b 1906) & Ida Marion (1912-13).
George enlisted in the CEF on 28 March 1916, service number 535187, No 8 Overseas Stationary Hospital.
The family lived at 434 Ave G North, Saskatoon. George worked for CNR as a car repairer.
George died on 29 January 1953 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.

George Anderson was born in Russia in about 1896. He came to Canada in about 1910.
George joined his brother Thomas John Anderson (1887-1954) in Saskatoon, living at 319 Ave I North in 1916. Thomas worked as a motorman/conductor on the city trams.
George was a Baptist and worked as a labourer. He died on 29 July 1932 in Carleton, Ontario where had arrived only three weeks previously. George never married.

There are five candidates for the Geo. Anderson signature. It seems that Candidate 1 is the most likely as he lived in Saskatoon at the relevant time, although he was on active service during WWI.
We would welcome any information to corroborate any of the candidates. Without further documents which include sample signatures, we have no way of knowing which was the signatory..

George Edward Anderson was born on 24 March 1884 in Tiny, Simcoe, Ontario to John Farm Anderson (1839-1928) & Mary Ann Haughton (1845-1921). George had three sisters, Mary Jane (b 1868), Sarah Jane (1873-1905) & Matilda (b 1882) and five brothers, William (b 1870), Joseph H (b 1876), John A (1875-1973), Noble (b 1880) & Norman (1888-1980).
George was raised in Tiny, Simcoe. He was an Anglican. George came to Saskatoon about 1910 with his family. He did not marry and lived with his parents at 213 Albert Ave.
George worked on the University of Saskatchewan farm. He died on 22 May 1923 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.

George William Anderson was born on 2 August 1898 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Newton Joseph Anderson (1862-1915) & Barbara Elizabeth Hunter (1874-1951). George had five sisters, Ellen Marguerite (b 1896), Elizabeth Rose (b 1900), Clara Barbara (b 1902) & Isabella (1906-1908) and three brothers, Adam Newton (1904-1993), Kenneth Hunter (b 1909) & Norval (b 1915).
George was raised in Humboldt and Saskatoon. He was an Anglican. George married Bertha Mabel Sloan (1897-1978) on 20 December 1924. George & Bertha had two daughters, Thelma & Gena.
George died on 29 January 1988 in Victoria, British Columbia. His occupation was given as Station Agent for Canadian Pacific Railroad. Both he and Bertha were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.

George Wilson Anderson was born on 16 May 1870 in Thurlow, Ontario to Thomas Anderson (d 1881) & Margaret (b 1833). George had two brothers, James H (1864-1913) & Thomas K (b 1867) and one sister, Margaret (b 1865).
George was raised in Thurlow, Hastings, Ontario. He was a member of the Free Church. George married Eliza Jane Orr (1871-1955) on 6 September 1892 in Belleville, Hastings, Ontario.
George came to Saskatoon in 1914 and was a department manager for F R MacMillans, departmental stores.
He lived in Regina in 1916 & 1921 and was the organizer for the Retail Merchants Association, but has an entry in the Henderson Directory for Saskatoon, suggesting that he came to Saskatoon on business.
George died in 1929 in Regina.
