THIRD AVENUE METHODIST CHURCH QUILT

A CANADIAN RED CROSS QUILT

Another quilt?

Chrissie Clark was born about 1903 in Kincardineshire, Scotland to William Clark (b 1873) and Margaret (Maggie) (b 1873). Chrissie had five sisters and one brother.

It seems that William came to Canada on his own around 1904 and was followed by Maggie and the family shortly afterwards. Jeanie the youngest daughter was born in Saskatchewan in 1907. Maggie and some of the girls returned to Scotland but came out again in 1913.

In 1916, Maggie with the family but not William were living in Strassburg, a small town between Saskatoon and Regina. Maggie is described as married and a housekeeper.

In 1919, a Christie Clark was an employee of Regina Blueprinting Concern and lived at 1657 Garnet St, Regina.

In the 1921 census, Chrissie Clark was a chambermaid at Kings Hotel in Regina.

No further information has been found about Chrissie Clark.

There is a very sparse family tree for her on Ancestry under the title 3rd Ave Clark 5 Tree.
