ARTHUR DOYLE

Arthur Manning Doyle was born on 6 November 1904 in RM of Dufferin, Manitoba to Manson Doyle (1877-1956) and Augusta Belle Saylor (1877-1959). Arthur had two siblings, Rachel Annie/Allegra (1905-2002) & Henry S (1909-1986). Manson was a Methodist minister. In 1916, the Doyle family were living at 1325 Dufferin St, Regina, Saskatchewan and in 1921 were at 569 Indian Rd, York West, Ontario.

Arthur became a physician/doctor, married Grace and had two children, Jane & Susan. In the 1940s Arthur was living in Brookline, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA but had returned to Canada by 1968. He died on 4 November 1970 in Toronto, Canada.

Arthur Doyle was born in July 1908 in Alberta, Canada to William Benjamin Doyle (1875-1942) & Laura S Phillips (1871-1956). William owned a coal distribution business, Sovereign Coal Co Ltd, in Saskatoon around 1917 onwards. The family address at this time was 518 11th St, Saskatoon. Arthur later worked as a salesman for his father’s company.

By 1945, Arthur was married and living at 418 Main St, Saskatoon.

Arthur Doyle was born on 19 December 1877 in Ontario to Michael Doyle (1849-1922) and Catherine Supple (1855-1916). Arthur had five sisters and three brothers. Arthur grew up in Wallaceburg, Bothwell, Ontario.

Arthur married Archange Lavzon (b 1894) on 23 February 1914 in Kent, Ontario. He was recorded as a farmer on the marriage certificate. He continued to farm in Lambton, Kent.

Arthur died on 4 March 1959 in Wallaceburg, Bothwell, Ontario.

Arthur Hastings Doyle was born on 8 May 1878 in Ontario, Canada to William Doyle (b 1841) and Martha Shera (b 1841). Arthur had two sisters, Mary (b 1868) & Lisle (b 1888) and one brother Harry (b 1874). Arthur was raised a Roman Catholic. In 1901, he was living with his parents in Waterloo, Ontario and working as a stove moulder.

Arthur married Isabella Schumacher (1883-1945) on 6 October 1910 in Waterloo. Arthur and Isabella had five daughters, Marie Helen (b 1911), Lyle (b 1913), Mary Isabella (1915-1997), Hilda (b 1918) and Isabel (b 1921).

Arthur worked as a teamster through the latter part of his life and continued to live in Preston, Waterloo Co. He died in March 1955.
