JAMES CLARK
James Raw/Ray Clark was born in April 1888 in North Bedburn, Durham, England to George Clark (1852-1897) and Mary (b 1855). Following George’s death, Mary married John Robert Carrick (1862-1914). James arrived in Canada in 1912 and travelled to Saskatoon by 1914 when he was living at St Henry Ave and working as a clerk for the Municipality of Cory.
By 1916 James had been promoted (!) to Weed Inspector for Cory RM. He lived 311 4th St and was married to Mary. James and Mary had three children, Elizabeth, Joan and John.
In 1921, James & family were in Humboldt district.

James Clark was born on 21 May 1886 in Inverness, Scotland of unknown parents. James came out to Canada in about 1904. By the time James enlisted in the CEF on 5 May 1916, he was married to Gertrude and living at 409 29th St W, Saskatoon. James had previously served with the Seaforth Highlanders. He joined the 96th Battalion and his service number was 204790.
James and Gertrude had three children, Phyllis, Duncan and Emiline.
James and the family moved to Humboldt district by 1921 when James was described as a farmer.
