AUDRAIN FAMILY
John Alton Audrain (b 23 January 1883) and Walter Levia Audrain (b 30 August 1887) were brothers whose parents, John & Louisa, lived on Jersey, Channel Islands. The family emigrated to Canada in 1896 and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba where their parents remained until their deaths in 1931 and 1940 respectively.
John Alton Audrain married Lulu Mae Kerracher (b 21 July 1882 in Ontario, Canada) and they had one son, Lawrence Alton Audrain, born on 28 June 1910 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The family briefly lived in Saskatoon at #5 Parkview Apartments, 445 5th Ave in 1918. John worked as a trainmaster and then train inspector for CNR. He died in Winnipeg on 18 July 1926. Lulu Mae travelled to England subsequent to her husband death and died in Clay County, Minnesota, USA on 24 December 1957.
Their son Lawrence Alton Audrain married Natalie Pilenko (b 29 July 1912 in Petrograd, Russia).
Walter Levia Audrain married Gertrude Campbell (b 11 January 1891 in R.M. of Langford, Manitoba, Canada) and they had one son Howard Walter, born on 18 February 1912 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. They also live briefly at Parkview Apartments in 1918 before returning to Winnipeg. Walter work for CPR as a conductor. He died in British Columbia on 1 June 1959. Walter and Gertrude separated in the 1920’s and Gertrude died in Neepawa, Manitoba on 16 November 1968.
