ELLA BLANCHE CAMPBELL MacNAB

Ella Blanche Campbell was born on 22 December 1885 in Montrose, Portapique, Colchester, Nova Scotia to John Brown Campbell (1844-1922) and Margaret (Maggie) Dickie (1850-1929). Her siblings were: Edgar Campbell (b 1870), John Leander Austin (1871-1935), William True (1873-1949), Frederick (1875-1955), Agnes Lenore (1877-1925), Jane (Jennie) (b 1879), Norman Garfield (1882-1937), Margaret Amelia (Nellie) (1833-1966) and Bernard Ness (1890-1909). In 1891 the Campbell family was living in Lower Londonderry, Colchester, Nova Scotia and in 1901 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia.

Ella married Charles Irving MacNab on 19 December 1906 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia. Charles was born on 19 August 1880 in Wallace, Malagash, Cumberland, Nova Scotia to Wellwood McNab (1840-1898) and Sarah Irving McCallum (1844-1906). Charles' siblings were: Minnie (1875-1875), John Reginald (b 1876), Alexander McFarlane (Farley) (1878-1968), Catherine Clare (Katie) (1882-1965) and Margaret Ethel (Maggie) (1886-1886). In 1891 and 1901 Charles was living with his family in Malagash, Cumberland, Nova Scotia. He was also enumerated with two of his father's sisters in Truro, Nova Scotia.

In 1911 Ella and Charles were living in Windsor, Nova Scotia with their eldest son, John Austin (1910-1993). Their second son, Norman Bishop, was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1912 and their last, Charles Wellwood, in Saskatchewan in 1914. By 1916 they were living at 715 Victoria Street in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Charles was employed as a manual training supervisor with the Public School Board. In 1921 the MacNab family was living at 434 8th Street. Charles died in Springhill, Nova Scotia on 4 April 1958. On his death registration he was listed as married with the occupation of teacher. Nothing further could be discovered about Ella.
