NELLIE MALCOLM

Nellie Malcolm was born on 26 March 1889 in Rainy River, Ontario to Thomas Malcolm (1856-1939) and Ellen Irwin (1860-1890). Nellie had two half-sisters by Thomas' second wife, Margaret Jane McEvers (1860-1948), Margaret May (Maggie) (1900-1981) and Myrtle Olive (1901-1902).

By 1901 the family had settled in Kinloss where her father was farming. Nellie and her half-sister Margaret never married and lived on the farm probably until Margaret’s mother died in 1948. Nellie and Margaret then retired to Lucknow, Bruce County.

Both Nellie and Margaret died in Lucknow in 1981.
