Mary Elizabeth Forehan was born on 11 November 1870 in West Wawanosh Twp, Huron, Ontario to John Forehan (1841-1917) and Mary Jane Hesson (1841-1933). Mary had seven siblings, William John (1868-1941), Ellen/Helen Margaret (1873-1950), Margaret Jane (1875-1914), Cornelius Joseph (1878-1941), James Ambrose (1879-1881), Harriet T. (1882-1882) and Sarah Catherine (1883-1953).
Mary grew up on the family farm in West Wawanosh. She married James Joseph McGlynn on 31 January 1899 in St Augustine, Huron County. James was born on 5 September 1860 on Concession 1 Lot 12 Culross Twp to James McGlynn (1825-1883) and Bridget Gillespie (1835-1912).
James had nine siblings, John (1852-1925), Anthony (1855-1929), David (1856- Patrick), (1859-1930), Mary (1863-1912), Ellen (1865-1940), Joseph (1868-1942), Bridget (1872-1949) and Infant (1873-1873).
James Sr was granted the Crown Deed on Concession 1 Lot 12 on 4 April 1874 and it is likely this the farm where James grew up.
Mary and James had four children,
James Joseph (1900-1949),
John Berchman (1903-1956),
Joseph Lawrence (Lorne) (1906-1985) and
Walter Ambrose (1909-1972).
James also farmed in Culross and died there on 21 December 1925 Mary also died in Culross, in 1944.
