Alexander McGregor was born on 10 March 1863 in Culross, Bruce County to Alexander McGregor Sr (1821-1899) and Mary Orr (1825-1897). Alexander Jr had six siblings, Dougal (1854-1904), Mary (1856-1906), Jessie (1859-1937), Catherine (1861-1877), Margaret (1865-1879) and Archibold (1867-1910).
Alexander was a farmer when he married Charlotte (Lottie) Armstrong on 29 September 1898 in Teeswater, Bruce County. Lottie was born on 7 May 1869 in Culross to George Armstrong (1838-1913) and Mary W Smith (1840-1916). Lottie had three siblings, Jannet (1864-1942), John Smith (1868-1942) and Jane (1873-1959).
Alexander continued to farm in Culross on Concession 1 Lot 23. He and Lottie had one daughter,
Mary Edna born on 16 January 1906 in Culross.
Mary married John George Anderson (1912-1999).
Lotttie died on 21 October 1939 and Alexander died on 21 December 1941. They are both buried in Teeswater-Culross Cemetery.
Mary died on 25 October 1994; she and later her husband were buried alongside her parents.
