JAMES REDDON

James Reddon was born on 16 April 1853 in Whitchurch, Ontario to John Reddon (1823-1872) and Annie Campbell (1824-1893). James had eight siblings, William (1851-1928), Sarah Ellen (b 1854), Elizabeth Ann (1857-1935), John Alexander (1858-1943), Catharine J (1860-1862), Archibald George (1864-1948), Peter John (1865-1947) and Charlotte Catherine (1868-1897).

James farmed with his father on Concession D Lots 35 &36 Carrick, Bruce County in his early years but had become a machinery and implement agent by the time he married Annie McMillan on 20 January 1886 in Teeswater. Annie was born on 21 August 1862 in Carrick to George McMillan (1828-1909) and Jane Bowie (1828-1913). Annie had three siblings, John (b 1851), Marion (b 1853) and Elizabeth (1855-1944).

James and Annie had three children,

James Russell (b 1890),
Hilda May (b 1894) and
Annie Jean (b 1899).

James died on 29 December 1920 and Annie died on 2 March 1947 in Teeswater; they are both buried in the Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
