EVA MILLAR

Eva Millar was born on 17 March 1883 in Deloraine, Manitoba to William Millar (b 1848) and Julia Williams (1859-1893). Her siblings were: Henry Edward (Harry), Alma Ellen (b 1884), Ethel (b 1887), Annie (b 1889) and a baby girl that died at birth in 1893. Eva's mother likely died from complications from the birth of the last child as she died 9 days later. Eva was living in Turtle Mountain, Manitoba in 1891.

Eva and her three sisters were living together in Boissevain, Manitoba in 1901. By 1906 her father had married Martha Cameron and they were living with the three younger girls in Boissevain, but Eva was not with them. In 1911, Eva was a teacher boarding with her sister Alma Campbell and her family in Indian Head, Saskatchewan and in 1916 she was still a teacher, living at 437 4th Ave North in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 1920 she had disappeared from Saskatoon Henderson Directory listings. She died on 28 August 1958 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She was single and her death record indicated that she had lived in British Columbia for the preceding 30 years.
