ROBERT THOMAS and ORRIN STANLEY BOLTON

Robert Thomas Bolton was born on 7 November 1881 in Lambton, Ontario, Canada the son of Isaac E Bolt & Charlotte E Flynn. He had five brothers, Samuel James (1874-1900), Edmond W (b 1877), Alton Ernest (1884-1976), Malcolm H (b 1889) & Orrin Stanley (1891-1979) and two sisters, Primillia E (b 1885) & Arivilla (b 1893).

The family grew up in Enniskillen, Lambton, Ontario. Robert arrived in Saskatoon about 1913 and set up a real estate business with Thomas Miller; he lived at 735 6th Ave N. He was already married to Florence Violet Parkins (b 1889) and they had three children, James (b 1909), Chester (1911-1984) & Muriel (b 1913). Robert ran the Maple Leaf Pool Room for many years and also ran a barber’s shop and cigar store from 222 2nd Ave S with his brother Alton Ernest. Until 1992, the family lived at 918 Broadway, Saskatoon. From 1923-25 Robert lived at 310 Ave E North prior to moving to Oakland, California where he died aged 82 in August 1964.

Orrin Stanley was born on 16 May 1891 in Lambton, Ontario. His chosen career was as a druggist and he trained in Saskatoon and California, USA. Orrin moved to California in 1923, lived in Oakland and ran a drugstore, Bolton’s Drugs, at 1888 Solano Ave, Berkeley for many years. He married Mabel Frances Moore (1905-2003) and they lived at 856 The Alameda. He died on 10 December 1979.
