WILFRED ERVIN BOND

Wilfred Ervin Bond was born on 31 January 1883 in Haspler, Ontario, Canada, the son of John Bond & Elizabeth Ricker. He had five sisters, Anna Bella (b 1864), Alice Elizabeth (b 1870), Minerva (b 1872), Ruth Etta (b 1874) & Eleanor Mary (b 1876) and one brother, John Christopher (b 1879).

Wilfred married Margaret Burgess (b January 1885) on 11 June 1907 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Wilfred registered a claim on SW-28-22-12-W2. They lived in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan in 1911 with Wilfred’s occupation being farmer.

By 1916, they were living in Saskatoon at 112 31st St and Wilfred was working as a salesman for the Scott Fruit Co. By 1921 he had moved into the retail trade, firstly in confectionery and then general grocery which he did for the next 10 years. They lived at 318 5th St and later 204 Saskatchewan Crescent.

Wilfred & Margaret retired to Prince Albert and were living at 1209 15th St W in 1953.
