FRANK ADDISON WILSON and LOUISE ELIZABETH WILSON née WATTERSON

Frank Addison Wilson was born on 18 January 1874 in Ontario to Louis Bartholomew Wilson (1837-1903) and Jessie Reid (1839-1893). His siblings were David (b 1858), James (b 1860), Margaret Allace (Maggie) (b 1864), Alan (b 1865), Joseph (b 1869), Marjorie Euphamia (b 1870), John B (b 1872), Frederick Alfred Bartholomew (1876-1960) and Frances (Fannie) (b 1885).

Frank was raised in Walsingham, Norfolk Co, Ontario. He married Louise Elizabeth Watterson on 14 December 1898 in Tilsonburg, Ontario. She was born on 17 May 1874 in Ontario to Thomas Watterson (1833-1906) and Louisa Ernstine McMehan (b 1842). Louise had one sister, Rhoda Estelle (1860-1932).

Oddly, the name on her birth record was Ada Louisa Watterson. On her marriage and some census records she was Louisa E and in the cemetery records she was Louise Elizabeth.

In 1901, two of Frank’s sisters, Maggie and Fannie, were living with them in Walsingham. According to her obituary, Louisa and Frank moved from Tilsonburg, Ontario to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1910 and the Roll of Third Ave Methodist Church had them listed as members in 1912.

In 1916 they were living in Drinkle Block No. 2 and by 1921 they were at 416 10th St E with a 6 month old daughter, Marjorie Gray who was born on 16 December 1920. Louisa died on 11 April 1932 in Saskatoon. At that time, Frank was head of the furniture department of the local Hudson’s Bay store. Frank died on 16 February 1933 and both of them were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.
