Sadie ? was born in March 1892 in the US and came to Canada the same year. Sadie married Louis “Edgar” Burk about 1910. Edgar was born on 9 July 1875 in Ontario to Joseph Lewis Burk (1851-1876) & Mary Maria Keys (b 1851).
Edgar had previously married Marie Adeline Marguerite Monica Klyne (1883-1909?) and they had two children, Joseph "Mervin" Ellsworth born on 23 June 1903 in Wolseley, Saskatchewan and Lotta Madelaine Burk (1905-1908).
In 1906, Edgar and his family lived at Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. In 1910 he lived at 890 Sherburn St, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In 1911 he was at 935 Strathcona St, Winnipeg, employed by T D Robinson as a teamster and married to Sadie. Sadie’s brother, John (b 1895 in Manitoba) was living with them. John’s surname is indecipherable and we have been unable to trace Sadie’s parents.
Edgar & Sadie had one child, Alice M (b 1916 in Manitoba). Edgar continued to work for T D Robinson until 1922 and during this time they lived at 1031 Ingersoll St, Winnipeg.
No record has been found for the deaths of either Edgar or Sadie.
Their family tree can be found on Ancestry under the title 3rd Ave Burk Tree.
