The two sisters, Florence Lucille (Fannie) Burrell (born on 15 November 1896 in Toledo, Lucas, Ohio, USA) and Mary Anne Burrell (born on 27 July 1898 also in Toledo) spent their early years in Toledo. Their parents were John Burrell (1864-1945) & Ruth Etta Jane Williams (1870-1950). The girls had three brothers, John Russell (1895-1975), Paul S (1900-1900) & Robert Sylvester (1907-1971) and three sisters, Nellie Adelaide (1901-1978), Sarah Amelia (1903-1980) & Charlotte Ruth (1905-1982).
Their father’s trade was as a mason and contractor in Toledo but when the family came to Canada in 1914, he took up farming at Harris, Kindersley, Saskatchewan. At this time Fannie branched out on her own. She moved to Saskatoon living at 123 Ave G North and worked as a stenographer for Cockshut Plow Co. Two years later in 1916, she was joined by her sister, Mary, who also worked as a stenographer at Cockshut Plow. Then four years later in 1920, the two sisters were joined by Nellie also working as a stenographer but for National Trust Co.
Fannie married Waldo Emerson Henry on 9 June 1925 and the couple set up home on Watkins Dr, Adams, Lucas, Ohio. Fannie & Waldo had one son, Roger E born in 1927.
Mary married Harry Dennis Crago on 21 September 1929 in Toledo. They set up home at 837 Prouty Avenue, Toledo. Mary & Harry had two children, Ruth Ann (1934-1982) & John Dennis (1935-1994).
Mary died on 4 March 1986 in Toledo. Fannie died on 7 October 1994 in Lucas, Ohio.
