Charles Richard Cunningham (1860-1927) married Sarah Jane Henry (1859-1929) on 25 November 1885 in Thornton, Simcoe, Ontario. Charles was a farmer and Sarah was probably housekeeping for her brother William, a blacksmith.

Charles & Sarah had four children:

Henry Herbert Cunningham was born on 2 October 1886
Olive Gertrude Cunningham was born on 15 October 1888, married Russel Ellsworth Coulter (1877-1949) & died on 13 June 1950.
Charles Frederick Cunningham was born on 3 February 1890 and
Wilfred Jackson Cunningham was born on 11 September 1893, married Sadie Viola Gibson (b 1895) & died on 2 June 1928.

Henry Herbert Cunningham tried to enter the US in 1904 to seek training with Roe Stephens Manufacturing Co of 24th St, Detroit, Michigan but was rejected at the border. He first came to Saskatoon in 1912 and worked for the Power House. Later in 1916, he worked as a brakeman for CNR and roomed at Imperial Rooms, 304 Ave A South, Saskatoon. He married Mary Yates Steven in 1917 or 1918. Mary was born on 19 February 1893 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland to James Seven (1865-1908) & Henrietta Fleming McCord (1862-1896). After Henrietta’s death, James married Isabella Hogg (1877-1950). Mary had one brother, James (b 1888), one sister, Annie Burnett (1889-1974) & one half-brother, John (b 1899). Mary came out to Canada in 1910 to join her sister Annie who had emigrated the previous year.

Henry & Mary had one son, Steven Richard who was born on 21 December 1918. Henry continued to work as a brakeman for CNR until the family moved to Detroit, Michigan. In 1930 Henry was working as a crane operator. By 1940 Henry was a brass finisher in for a company manufacturing valves. Their son, Richard, was a musician in a private orchestra. Henry died on 26 May 1956 and Mary died on 24 July 1972, both in Detroit.

Charles Frederick Cunningham moved to Saskatoon in 1912, obtained employment as a clerk for International Harvester Co and lived at 425 Ave D South. Sometime during the following four years, he married Elsie A Goodell and was promoted to bookkeeper at International Harvester Co. In 1916 the couple were living at Apt 11, Coronation Court, 444 5th Ave N.

Elsie was born in 1889 in Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario to Isaac Chansey Goodell (1854-1930) & Harriet Sutton (1853-1904). Elsie had five siblings:

Harriet Goodell was born in 1885
Norman Stevenson (Stephen) Goodell was born on 11 May 1893 and
Olive Amelia Goodell was born on 30 May 1895.

Charles & Elsie had two children, Elmer B who was born in 1920 and Frederick G, born in 1922. Both were born in Saskatoon. In 1923 the family returned to Thornton but did not stay. In October of that year they moved to Detroit, Michigan, USA where Charles was employed as a stock recorder with Herzog Furniture Co of Saginaw who in addition to high quality furniture made cabinets for the Sonora Phonograph Co of New York. Charles & Elsie were still living in Saginaw in 1930 but no further record of them or their sons has been found.

Mary Magdelain Goodell married Charles Albert Pecor on 14 October 1899 in Frontenac. Charles was born on 7 April 1873 in Leeds, Ontario to Charles Pecor (1849-1931) & Elizabeth Ann Peters (1853-1919). Charles had nine sisters, Annie (1872-1945), Emily Jane (1874-1937), Mary Louise (1876-1948), Margaret Elizabeth (b 1881), Elizabeth Hellen (1883-1893), Eunice Norah (b 1889), Agnes Christine (1890-1971), Almina Cecilia (1893-1957) & Catherine Veronica (1894-1963) and four brothers, William John Edward (1878-1945), Samuel Allen (1879-1880), Freeman Robert Louis (1885-1954) & James Frederick (1887-1941).

Charles & Mary had three sons, Charles Isaac (b 1920), Louis Frederick (1908-1987) & Albert (b 1912) and nine daughters, Veronica Elizabeth (b 1902), Elsie Louise (1902-1935), Kathleen Ezetta (b 1904), Harriet Evelyn (b1905), Margaret (1906-2002), Vera Genevive (b 1909), Mary Alice (1910-1911), Mildred (b 1914) & Mabel (b 1915).

Prior to his marriage whilst still living at home with his parents in Gananoque in 1891 worked as an operator of a buckle-making machine. By 1901, still living in living in Gananoque, Charles was described as an iron worker but by 1911 his occupation is simply labourer. Charles enlisted in the CEF on 26 August 1915. He died, killed in action, during an attack at Desire Trench, Courcelette, Albert, France on 11 November 1916. He is buried in Adanac Military Cemetery, Albert, France.

Mary lived in Wellington, Ontario in the 1940s & 1950s. She died on 8 May 1958.

In 1911, Norman Stevenson (Stephen) Goodell was living with and working as a labourer for Ernest Prevost, a cheese-maker of French origin, in Storrington, Frontenac, Ontario. Stephen married Ella McMachan on 20 August 1919 in South Crosby Township, Leeds, Ontario. Ella was born on 10 June 1898 in South Crosby to William McMachan (1852-1926) & Sophia Charlotte Knapp (1859–1939). Ella had three brothers, Jesse Albert (1880-1885), Walter (1875-1965) & Cecil (1891-1967) and five sisters, Nina Matilda McMachen (1879–1885), Eliza Jane McMachen (1883–1885), Sarah (1885-1977), Addie Sophia (1888-1982), Bertha (1892-1983) & Emma (1898-1917).

Stephen & Ella had four sons & five daughters. Stephen remained a cheese-maker. Ella died on 1 May 1952 and Stephen died on 20 March 1971.

Olive Amelia Goodell lived with her aunt, Mary Olive Goodell, after her mother, Harriet died in 1904. Mary Olive was born on 2 September 1852, the elder sister of Isaac Chansey Goodell. According to Olive Amelia’s (delayed) birth record, Mary Olive married a second cousin, William Goodell. William was a clerk and accountant. By 1911, William had died and Mary Olive was living in Ottawa City, Ontario with her daughter, Helen Amelia (Nellie) born on 7 September 1893 in Kingston, Frontenac and niece Olive Amelia. She was still alive aged 93 in 1945. No death record has been found.

Helen Amelia married Alexander Gillies on 17 September 1913 in Carleton, Ontario. Alexander was born on 30 May 1886 in Tesswater, Bruce, Ontario to Archibald (1839-1908) & Mary McKinnon (1857-1929). Both on his marriage record and in the 1921 census, Alexander is described as a civil servant. No subsequent records have been found for Alexander & Helen Amelia.

Olive Amelia married Richard "Clayton" Proctor on 29 March 1916 in Carleton, Ontario. Clayton was born on 8 August 1891 in Belgrave, Ontario to William Charles Proctor (1858-1926) & Ellen Margaret Hooper (1864-1925). Clayton had two brothers, William Waddington (b 1887) & James "Carl" (b 1896) and two sisters, Mary Ellen (b 1889) & Margaret Ann (b 1899).

Clayton and Olive had one son, Grant M (1917-1991) and one daughter, Grace. Clayton was a school teacher and later school principal in Kenora, Ontario. He died in 1971 and Olive in 1981. They were buried in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich, Hueon, Ontario.
