Mrs R N ANDERSON

Bessie Ellen Clark was born on 5 February 1896 in Cavalier, North Dakota, USA, the daughter of Ira & Flora Clark. She had two brothers, James & Victor and two sisters, Cecilia & Stella.

Bessie came to Canada with her parents in 1900, first to Addington, Ontario and then to Saskatoon by 1916 when they lived at 1010 Eastlake Ave, Saskatoon.

By 1921 she had married Robert Nichol Anderson (b 25 April 1886) and they were living at 915 Broadway Ave, Saskatoon. They had two daughters, Edith & Irene and one son James (1926-1998).

As she signed the quilt with her married name, it would be very interesting to find the date of her marriage.
