ELIZABETH WALMSLEY née ROBINSON

Elizabeth Robinson was born in May 1876 in Liverpool, England to Joseph Robinson (b 1831) and Mary Nevin (b 1841). Her siblings were: John Patrick (b 1865), Julia (b 1867), Mary (b 1869), Joseph (b 1871), William James (b 1878), Dennis (b 1880), Katie (b 1884) and Pauline (b 1886). In 1881, the Robinson family was living in Liverpool. Elizabeth married Henry Walmsley on 12 February 1898 at St Emmanuel's at Preston, Lancashire. Henry was born on 13 February 1877 in Preston to Henry Walmsley and Mary (likely Gorton). His childhood years were not traced. In 1901, Henry & Elizabeth were living in Preston & Henry's mother, Mary, was living with them.

According to census records, Elizabeth and Henry immigrated to Canada in 1910. In 1911, Henry was an insurance agent and the couple were living at 213 Ave E S, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Henry enlisted for WWI on 6 May 1916 and gave his address as 524 Ave L North and his next of kin as his wife, Elizabeth. They had one daughter, Eva, who was born on 1 January 1919 in Saskatoon and died on 9 October 1998 in Outlook, Saskatchewan. She married Herold Gerhardt Egbert Carlson (1917-1977) and they had six children. She was buried in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon. Elizabeth died on 16 November 1953 in Delisle, Saskatchewan and Henry on 19 May 1959 in Outlook. Henry was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon and Elizabeth in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
