ARCHIBALD JAMES DeWOLF

Archibald James (Arch) DeWolf was born on 20 February 1875 in Lakeside, Cottonwood, Minnesota, United States to Milo F DeWolf (1847-1920) & Louisa Ella Gardner (1852-1944). Arch had one sister, Blanche Melissa (1872-1960) and one brother, Earl Gardner (1889-1969). His father was a general merchant and postmaster. Arch followed in his footsteps, firstly he became a postmaster in Great Bend and Windom, Minnesota and later joined the E J Meilicke business in Saskatoon in 1911 and continued to work for the same business for 47 years, progressing to general manager.

Arch married Agnes Matilda Siverson (1888-1960) about 1910, possibly in Dundurn, Saskatchewan. Agnes had been born on 24 May 1888 in La Crosse County, Wisconsin, USA to Eben Siverson (b 1857) & Rachel (b 1857).

Arch & Agnes had two children. Winnifred Louise was born on 25 November 1911 and James Delaven was born on 1 July 1913, both in Saskatoon.

Arch & Agnes lived at 1202 Victoria Avenue, Saskatoon for over 25 years up to 1957. Arch died on 9 April 1959 and Agnes died just over a year later on 26 November 1960.
