EUNICE MARGARET MORTON née CHARLEBOIS

Eunice Margaret Charlebois was born on 26 November 1887 in Parry Sound, Ontario to Joseph Charlebois (1862-1945) and Marie Elizabeth Celina Cote (1866-1955). Her siblings were: Mabel Zita (1888-1961) and Alfa Hazel (b 1890). In 1891 the Charlebois family was living in Parry Sound and in 1901 Penetanguishene, Simcoe, Ontario.

Eunice married Thomas Peace (or possibly Pearse) Morton circa 1904. He was born on 8 June 1872 in Ottawa, Ontario to Henry Morton (b 1849) and Gerladine Shaler (b 1855). He had two siblings: Henry Harold (1876-1955) and Maud (b 1878). He was raised in Ottawa. Eunice and Thomas had two children: Thomas Haintrey or Hawtrey (1905-1924) and Harold Mercer (1908-1974). Both boys were born in Rainy River, Ontario.

By 1911, the Morton family was living at 520 3rd Ave North in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They lived at 203 Poplar Crescent in Saskatoon from at least 1916 to 1918 and Thomas was a barrister with offices at 502 Standard Trusts Building. They had moved to Unity, Saskatchewan by 1921.

Thomas and Eunice moved to British Columbia in about 1924 when Thomas retired. Thomas died on 26 December 1946 in Nanaimo and Eunice on 25 November 1970 in a hospital in Maple Ridge (although she was residing in Haney).
