TALBERT CLAYTON MORRISON and ELEANOR MORRISON née GOODWIN
Talbert Clayton Morrison was born on 4 August 1871 in Hillier, Prince Edward, Ontario to Reuben Morrison (1841-1910) and Mary Matilda Adelaide Richardson (1849-1905). His siblings were: John Manley James (1870-1945), Joseph Milo (b 1875), Alva Edwin (1878-1951) and Colin Elmer (b 1885). Talbert was raised in Sophiasburg, Ontario from at least 1881 to 1891.
Talbert married Clara Botting on 27 July 1892 in Hastings County, Ontario. Clara was born in 1872 in Napanee, Ontario to Edward Botting and Charlotte and died on 7 April 1899 in Prince Edward. Talbert married Eleanor (Ellen, Ella) Goodwin on 6 September 1900 in Prince Edward. She was born on 11 August 1858 in Ontario to John Goodwin (1806-1881) and Sarah Weeks (1814-1872). Her siblings were: James (b 1835), Phoebe Ann (1836-1910), Frank (1838-1865), Mary (1840-1924), Martha (1841-1916), George W (1844-1905), Sarah Elizabeth (Eliza) (1846-1874), Hannah Marie (1848-1932), Robert (1853-1920), William N (1854-1875), Annie (1855-1923) and Emma (1861-1929).
Eleanor lived with her parents and siblings in Athol Township until at least 1881. By 1891, her parents had died and she was living with some of her siblings in Picton, Ontario. In 1901 Talbert and Ella were living in Athol Township with Ella's sister, Phoebe, and her husband Allen Young. By 1906 they had moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and were listed in Saskatoon Henderson Directories until 1918 when they were residing at 1038 Aird St. They couldn't be found in the 1916 or 1921 Saskatoon census. John and Eunice Morrison were listed at the Aird address in 1916, but a relationship could not be determined. In 1918 & 1919, Talbert was employed as a stower of freight for the CNR (Canadian National Railway). His name then disappeared from Henderson Directories until 1922 when he was listed as a carpenter living at 432 Main St. Talbert's brother, John, and his family also settled in Saskatoon and died there. Eleanor died in Saskatoon on 11 January 1929 and Talbert on 4 April 1942. Both were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.
