Eleanor Fisk (Nornia) Mills was born on 23 October 1887 in Lennox and Addington, Ontario to Harvey William Mills (1848-1928) & Martha A Davy (1851-1939). Nornia had two brothers, Bernard (b 1871), William Harvey (b 1873) and four sisters, Gertrude (b 1876), Beulah L (1878-1973), Paula Langill (1881-1921) & Kate Owens (b 1884). Nornia married Hilton Leroy (HL) Gallagher (b 1886) on 28 October 1909 in Lennox and Addington. HL was born on 23 September 1886 probably in Ernestown, Lennox, Ontario to Levi L Gallagher (1860-1942) & Annie Eliza Jane (Jennie) Patterson (1864-1951). HL had one sister, Eve M (1891-1973). Levi was a merchant, variously general dry goods and at other times a coal & wood merchant.
After their marriage, HL & Nornia moved to Saskatoon in 1910, living at 821 11th St. HL initially worked as a clerk for Frank Holmes retail grocers at 717 Broadway. By 1913, HL had opened his own general store at 832 Broadway where he remained until 1927. Levi followed his son to Saskatoon and moved in along the street at 816 11th St. He established a coal & wood business.
HL & Nornia had two sons, Donald McKenzie (1915-2011) & Gordon (b 1919). After 1927, the family moved to Harrowsmith, Frontenac closer to their roots. HL ran a general store for a number of years. HL was still alive in 1968, aged 82 years and living with Nornia in Frontenac. Nornia died in 1978 according to an unconfirmed family tree.
