MARY MATILDA GREENAWAY née DILLON
Mary Matilda Dillon was born on 1 February 1884 in Osgoode Station, Ontario to William Norman Dillon (b 1852) & Elizabeth Ann Vowells (1860-1935). Mary had five brothers, William John (b 1885), Walter Lunan (b 1887), Thomas Nelson (b 1888), Harry Edwards (1894-1903) & Ray Vernon (b 1899) and one sister, Mercedes M (b 1889). William worked as a foreman on the railroad.
Mary married William John Greenaway on 18 March 1903 in Algoma, Ontario. William was born on 15 November 1875 in Fort Harris, Huron, Ontario to Robert Greenaway (b 1855) & Rebecca Myers (b 1846). William had two sisters, Mary (1877-1958) & Margaret (1879-1954), two brothers, Robert (b 1881) & Joseph Richard (b 1884) and one half-brother, Francis Thomas (1869-1937) & two half-sisters, Sarah (b 1871) & Elizabeth (b 1873).
Mary and William had one daughter, Francis Nelson who was born on 20 March 1904 but died just a couple of weeks later on 2 April of a spinal disease.
Mary & William arrived in Saskatoon in 1913 and initially lived at 115 4th Ave S. William worked as an insurance agent. He was soon promoted to provincial manager for Crown Life Insurance Co whose offices were at suite 405 Standard Trust Building on the corner of 3rd Ave N & 22nd St. Mary & William moved to 604 Duke St, suite 8 Listnadill Apartments and then 927 University Drive in 1921. William died on 6 February 1933 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery , Saskatoon.
Mary lived on at University Drive until she married Albert James Denham (b 1882) on 7 October 1935 in Sweetgrass, Montana. Mary & Albert moved to California in 1939 where Mary took US citizenship. Mary died on 27 February 1956 in Los Angeles, California.
