THOMAS ALBERT POTTER

Thomas Albert Potter was born 16 June 1883 in Blasewitz, Dresden, Germany to Harry Clay Potter (1841-1921) and Emily Graff Spooner (1846-1921). His siblings were: Edwin Spooner (1869-1945), Mabel (1870-1949), Helen Winchester (1870-1949), Emily (1872-1946), William "Woodburn" (1875-1964), Harry Clay (1877-1921) and Mathilda (1879-1973). He was living with his family in Pennsylvania in 1910.

THomas married Eleanor Davis Horn on 20 September 1913. She was born on 20 February 1896 in New Jersey. By 1916 Thomas and Eleanor were living at 802 Lorne Ave, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and had a son, Thomas Albert who had been born in Saskatoon on 20 Oct 1914. Thomas was working as a manager for the Quaker Oat Company. His name last appeared in the Saskatoon Henderson Directories in 1917. He registered for the Draft for WWI in Akron, Ohio on 12 September 1918.

The Potters were living in Lake Forest, Lake, Illinois in 1930. By then they had 2 more children, a boy and a girl. Thomas died on 24 January 1949 in Jamestown, Newport, Rhode Island. Eleanor died on 19 June 1981 in Portsmouth, New Port, Rhode Island. Both were buried in Cedar Cemetery, Jamestown. Their son, Thomas, died on 7 October 2005 in Jamestown and was buried in the same cemetery.
