From 1916, the family were living at 312 Lansdown Ave, Saskatoon. In 1918, Emmett was a student
with Bence Stevenson & McLorg (Barristers).
Anna married Max Tomczak (1886-1977) in 1918/19. Max was born on Poznan, Poland and came to Canada about 1910. He was a flautist and music teacher. Marcel Emmett (Max) Tomczak served in the RCAF in WWII. He was killed on 25 July 1943 whilst piloting a bombing mission and is buried in Groningen, Holland. See Lost Aircraft and Memorial.
Max Sr died in Victoria British Columbia on 19 June 1977 and Anna died on 7 April 1986 aged 92 years in Saskatoon. She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.
Emmett Matthew Hall was recorded as Emmet in the early years of his life. He married Isabelle Mary (Belle) Parker (1903-1981) in 1922. Emmett & Belle spent some years in Prince Albert before returning to Saskatoon in 1927. Emmett & Belle had two children, John & Marian. Emmett went on to become a Queen’s Council, Supreme Court Judge and Chancellor of University of Saskatchewan among other eminent positions. He is also famous for his support of First Nation rights, medicare, & education. See Wikipedia and Courts of Saskatchewan. John became a professor at Harvard Medical School and Marian followed in her father’s footstep, becoming a Judge in the Queen's Bench Court, Saskatchewan. Three of Emmett’s grand-children also entered the legal profession.
Belle died 12 October 1981 and Emmett died on 12 November 1995 both in Saskatoon and they are buried in adjacent plots in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.
