MORLEY WILFRED HALL and ELLA BEATRICE (NELLIE) HALL née COPELAND

Morley Wilfred Hall was born on 8 Jul 1891 in Waterloo, Ontario to Robert Henry Hall (b 1943) and Elizabeth Shelding (b 1853), Morley had one sister, Ester Alice (b 1877) and three brothers, Harry William (b 1879), Carman Joseph (b 1889) & John W (1893-1953). Robert was a Wesleyan Methodist minister.

Morley married Ella Beatrice Copeland on 3 June 1914 in Elgin, Ontario. Morley was living in Prince Albert and Beatrice in Aylmer at the time of their marriage. Beatrice was born on 7 December 1892 in Lambeth, Ontario to James Copeland (1846-1916) & Adeline Augusta Jackson (1860-1944). Beatrice had one brother, Harry Elmin (1890-1894). In 1916, Morley & Beatrice were living in Maymont, a village about 50km NW of Saskatoon, where Morley was the station agent for CNR. This is where the first daughter Muriel was born.

The family moved to 316 11th St E, Saskatoon in 1918. Morley was an operator for CNR telephones in 1918 and a teamster in 1921. Their second daughter, Evelyn, was born around this time. From 1922 onwards they were living at 328 10th St. Morley worked as a dispatcher for CNR progressing to chief dispatcher before his death on 8 May 1945.

Beatrice stayed on in the family home and from about 1950 seems to have taken in lodgers after her daughters left home. Beatrice died on 16 February 1979 in Saskatoon. She and Morley are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon.
