WILLIAM HENRY GRAFTON and CECIL WILLIAM RICHARDSON ARMSTRONG
William Henry Gratton Armstrong was born on 6 August 1867 in Teemore, Co Armagh, Ireland and came to Canada aged 19 in 1886. He married Mary Ann Richardson (b 6 May 1866) on 17 December 1890 at St Matthew’s Church, Quebec.
By 1901, William & Mary had moved west and William worked as a brass polisher. They had two sons, Melville Leslie Gratton Armstrong and Cecil William Richardson Armstrong.
From 1911 onwards he was first Organizer and then Grand Organizer of the Saskatoon branch of the Orange Order. They lived at 401 28th St W, Saskatoon.
William died on 2 August 1925 and Mary died in 1956 aged 90.
Cecil William Richardson Armstrong was born on 13 January 1894 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Cecil worked as an insurance agent and continued to live with his mother after his father died. In 1935 they were living at #301 77 Wellesley St, St Paul, Toronto, Ontario. Cecil died on 27 December 1956, the same year as his mother.
