SARAH JANE ARMSTRONG

Sarah Jane Cushman was born on 13 May 1861 in Brownington, Vermont, USA, the daughter of Zebulan Cushman and Sarah Gray. She had four brothers Gardner, Allen, Charles & Samuel and three sisters, Mary, Franalai and Hattie.

Sarah Jane married Edgar Armstrong (b 24 January 1854 in Holland, Orleans, Vermont, USA) on 20 March 1878 in Brownington, Vermont. They had one son, W Guy (b 1883) and one daughter, Lilla Mae (b 1886).

Lilla Mae Armstrong married Harry Overbury (b December 1877 in Missouri, USA) in 1907 in Quebec, Canada. They had three children, Henry (b 1908), Ruth (b 1910) and Kenneth (b 1912). They moved to Saskatchewan in 1908. In 1909 they living on west side 4th St and Harry is a brakeman for CNR.

In 1911, Sarah Jane is living with her son-in-law at 439 4th Ave N. By 1920 she has returned to Vermont where she remained until her death on 12 March 1945.
