MARGARET and MYRTLE HAMILTON née Thompson
We have identified two possible candidates for the M Hamilton signature: Margaret Hamilton née Thompson and her daughter Mary Emma Hamilton. Myrtle Hamilton does not appear to be a relative of the above. Please contact us if you recognise any of these people.
Nathaniel Hamilton was born on 1 July 1860 in New Brunswick or Quebec to unknown parents who had immigrated from Scotland. Nathaniel married Margaret Thompson on 18 October 1883 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Nathaniel and Margaret had ten surviving children, Margaret Jean Cummings (b 1884), Elizabeth (b 1885), Charles Alexander (b 1886), Robert Lloyd (b 1890), Jean (b 1890), Mary Emma (1895-1974), John Thompson (b 1896), Nathaniel (b 1899), Opal Teresa (1900-1986) & Helen Pearl Milrose (b 1902). The family grew up in Algoma, Ontario where Nathaniel Sr was a car foreman for the railroad.
By 1913, Nathaniel, Margaret and some of their children were living at 124 Ave B North, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Nathaniel was yardmaster for CPR. They lived at 831 Ave F North from 1914-1926.
Mary Emma was a bookkeeper at Cecil Rooms in 1918 and still living with her parents. Mary married Norman Roy Patterson (1886-1971) on 28 March 1921. Mary and Norman emigrated to the Us in 1927 and settled in Los Angeles, California. Norman was a barber.
Nathaniel and Margaret came to the US in 1929 and lived with their daughter and son-in-law at 2071 W 69th St, Los Angeles.
Margaret died on 4 March 1942 and Nathaniel on 24 December 1946 in Los Angeles.
Norman died on 12 October 1971 and Mary on 13 November 1974 in Los Angeles.

Myrtle Elizabeth Hamilton was born on 23 December 1908 in Harris, Saskatchewan to Robert E Hamilton (1870-1954) and Harriet Ann Clayton (1872-1955). Myrtle had eight surviving siblings, Maria Jane (1893-1928), John James Lawrence (1895-1975), Albert (1898-1962), Erson Clayton (1900-1971), Robert Jr (1905-1907), Pearl Henrietta (1905-1959), Robert George (1910-1965) & Rhoda May Fern (b 1912).
Myrtle lived on the family farm in Harris until she married John Peter Kuppenbender (1898-1984) on 3 December 1927 in Saskatoon. Myrtle and John had one son Ronald John (1928-1976). John was an auto mechanic. John & Myrtle settled in British Columbia around 1935, living in Kimberley.
John died 21 December 1984 in Kimberley, British Columbia.
No further information has been found about Myrtle.
