Louise A Hansford was born in about 1911 in Saskatchewan to Thomas Wesley Hansford (1879-1930) and Jessie Robenia Taylor (b 1885). Louise had two siblings, Thomas G (1914-1930) and Donald F (1915-1996).
Thomas and Jessie moved to Saskatoon in 1912 and lived at 711 McPherson Ave until 1919. Thomas was a builder and contractor involved with railroad construction. From 1921 onwards Thomas was a farmer at Last Mountain, Saskatchewan. He died in May 1930 in Girvin, Saskatachewan.
No further records have been found for this family.
We have no idea why Louise appears on the quilt, but we have found no other candidate with this name.
