CHARLES JOHN HANSON

Charles John Hanson was born on 26 October 1877 in Wisconsin, USA. His parents were John and Louise, both born in Norway.

Charles served in the 1st North Dakota Infantry from 26 April 1898 to 25 September 1899. He married Mary Louise Brisette (b 1882) on 6 July 1904 in Chicago, Illinois. Mary was born in North Dakota of Canadian parents. Charles and Mary had one son, Kenneth Charles born in 1906 in North Dakota.

In 1910, Charles, Louise and Kenneth were living at 7053 Jones Ave, Seattle, Washington and Charles worked in a paper mill. Later the same year they crossed into Canada and travelled on to Saskatchewan.

In 1911, the family were in Humboldt, Saskatchewan and Charles was working as a bailiff.

From 1913-1929, Charles was a sheriff’s officer in Saskatoon. They lived at various address; 501 Ave J South, 928 5th Ave N, 409 4th Ave N, 125 10th St & #1 129 2nd Ave N. Charles subsequently ran a collection agency in Saskatoon for a few years.

Kenneth worked as a bookkeeper for Butler Byers Bros from 1928 until his death on 8 July 1934, aged 28 years.

Charles and Louise moved back to Washington to Manor Lake, Snohomish by 1935. Charles died on 27 September 1945.

No further information has been found about Louise.
