DAVID CANTALON KYLE and CLARA BELLE (CLARIBEL) KYLE née WALMSLEY

David Cantalon Kyle was born on 16 December 1890 in RM of Elton, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada to John Cochrane Kyle (1844-1906) and Mary Cantalon (1850-1932). David had six siblings, Mary Ann Elizabeth Violet (1870-1944), Ida Grace Crystal (1875-1963), Catherine Teresa Elizabeth (1877-1947), Birdie Maud Esther (1879-1882), Myrtle Adelia Beatrix (b 1881) and Pearl Pansie (1885-1953).

David grew up on the family farm in Brandon. By the time of the 1911 census he was a student at law. In 1915 David was living at 621 Ross Building 116 3rd Ave S, Saskatoon and was in partnership with GG McPhee, another barrister. On 19 August 1916, David married Clara Belle (Claribel) Walmsley in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Claribel was born on 29 May 1891 in Waterford, Norfolk, Ontario to Samuel Benjamin Walmsley (1858-1907) and Jennie Bryce Shaver née Ammerman (1964-1936). Claribel had six siblings, George Stanley (1886-1886), Henry (1888-1888), Birdie Ailena (b 1889), Lulu May (b 1894), Lloyd David (1897-1969) and Lorrie S (1897-1898). David and Claribel moved into 510 Saskatchewan Crescent E, Saskatoon. David partnered with Robert H Milliken in 1917 and then with Clifford R Morse in 1918. From 1919 to 1921 he practised law on his own and then joined with others to form Sunderland Kyle and Ferguson.

David and Claribel divorced and David remarried to Marjorie Euphemia Pelletier. Marjorie was born on 18 December 1900 in Centerville, Anoka, Minnesota, USA to William Oliver Pelletier (b 1869) and Mary Louise LeTourneau (1971-1928). Marjorie had twelve siblings, Alice Hallar/(b 1891), Mabel (b 1892) Leonord (b 1893), Natha (b 1895), Loyde (b 1900), Lillie/Willa (b 1904) Lillie (b 1906), Joseph (b 1907), Alma/Elena (b 1909), Adalard/Roy (b 1911), Irene (b 1913) and William (b 1917). Marjorie arrived in Canada with her family in about 1903. They settled in the Saltcoats/Swift Current area of Saskatchewan.

David and Marjorie had two children, Robert and John. In about 1955, David and Marjorie retired to Vancouver, British Columbia.

David died on 18 July 1960 and Marjorie died on 27 April 1978, both in Vancouver.
