William Henry Haldenby was born on 2 December 1844 in Amherst Island, Addington County to Richard Haldenby (1822-1894) and Margaret Ann Cornet (1932-1892). William had nine siblings, Margaret Ann (1846-1885), Samuel Richard (1849-1938), Matthew Scaife (1851-1927), Hannah Jane (1853-1945), Mary Elizabeth (1854-1887), Eliza Helen (1858-1863), Alexander Mathias (b 1860), George Norman (1862-1930) and Alfred Edward (1865-1952).

Richard Haldenby’s brother, Henry Taylor Haldenby married Margaret Ann Cornet’s sister, Elizabeth Cornet - see below.

William came west with his family around 1860 to settle in Kinloss, Bruce County. William married Diana Parker on 2 December 1873 in Culross. Diana was born Samuel Parker (1819-1897) and Elizabeth Cooper (1828-1881). Diana had eight siblings, Hannah (1846-1924), Sarah (b 1850), Thomas (1854-1899), William (1857-1936), Mary Loretta (1860-1938), George (1863-1935), Samuel (1865-1922) and Annie (b 1868).

William and Diana had four children,

Diana (1875-1941),
Harry (b 1877),
Samuel (b 1881) and
George Norman (b 1886).

William worked as a carpenter in Kincardine, Bruce County. He died on 1 June 1902 in North Bay, Ontario. Diana died in 1944 and is buried in Kincardine Cemetery.

Matthew Scaife Haldenby married Elizabeth Hodgins (1862-1885) on 3 March 1880 in Culross. They had two children,

Francis Mary "Minnie" (1883-1973) and
Margaret Elizabeth "Maude" (1884-1969).

Subsequently Matthew married Emma Jane Wall on 3 October 1888 in Walkerton, Brant County. Emma was born on 5 December 1866 in Kincardine to William Wall and Emma Scalt/Scott?

Matthew and Emma had six children,

Richard John Norman (1881-1900),
Mathew Walter (1889-1893),
Fannie May (1894-1906),
William Edward (1895-1988),
George Wilson (1897-1984) and
Samuel Arthur (1900-1992).

Emma died in 1902 and is buried in Teeswater Cemetery.

Matthew married Elizabeth Jane Lloyd née McClelland on 15 March 1907 in Wingham, Huron County. Elizabeth was born on 2 October 1869 in Gordon Lake, Ontario to Robert Abrams McClelland (1836-1926) and Hannah Marietta Haldenby (1844-1917).

Elizabeth had married William Lloyd on 18 August 1885 in Sault Ste Marie, Chippewa, Michigan, USA. William was born on 7 December 1861 in Gordon Lake to John Lloyd (1823-1909) and Ann Jane ? (1824-1888). William and Elizabeth had four children,

Mary Ethel (Ethel) (b 1887),
Margaret Merritta (1889-1960),
William Robert John (1899-1971) and
Clifford (1904-1989).

William Sr died on 26 May 1906 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Matthew Haldenby died on 29 November 1927 in Teeswater and Elizabeth died in 1943 in Kinlough, Kinloss Twp.

George Wilson Haldenby was born on 30 August 1897 in Teeswater. George married Lavina Elizabeth Bell on 26 March 1921 in Lucknow, Brouce County. Lavina was born on 30 September 1901 in Walkerton, Bruce County to Ephraim Henry Bell (b 1871) and Susanna Smith (b 1873).

George farmed in Kinloss. He and Lavina had two daughters, a baby who died at birth in 1925 and Ethel May (1926-2006). Lavina died in 1970 and George died in 1984. They are both buried in Lucknow Cemetery, Huron County.

William Robert John Lloyd was born on 19 July 1899 in Echo Bay, Ontario to William Lloyd (1861-1906) and Elizabeth Jane McClelland (1869-1943). William was a chauffeur when he married Luella Pearl Boyle on 18 August 1926 in Lucknow. Luella was born on 27 July 1903 in Kinloss to Levi Boyle (1865-1940) and Mary Jane Spiers (1878-1909).

William died on 31 January 1971 in London, Ontario.

Francis Henry Haldenby married Frances (Fannie) Thompson on 6 February 1887 in Kinlough, Bruce County. Fannie was born on 18 September 1858 in Greenock to Richard Thompson (1825-1902) and Grace Hodgins (1835-1914). Fannie had six siblings, Mary (b 1857), John F (b 1861), Henry James (b 1863), Samuel (b 1865), Richard (b 1867) and Elizabeth (b 1870).

Francis and Fannie had five children,

Arthur Howard Haldenby was born on 31 December 1889 in Kinlough, Bruce County. He farmed with his father in Culross and died on 8 January 1959 in Wingham, Huron County.

Wilbert Herald Haldenby was born on 31 May 1894 in Kinloss. He married Vera Clarissa Humphrey on 18 August 1926 in Teeswater. Vera was born on 22 February 1901 in Heron Twp, Bruce County to Frederick Albert Humphrey (1874-1958) and Ellen Esther Stauffer (1871-1953). Vera had two siblings,

Frederick Cornet Haldenby was born on 19 December 1865 in Culross. He married Charlotte Phiniah Hodgins on 26 May 1893 in Kinlough. Phiniah was born on 28 November 1870 in Kinloss to John Hodgins (b 1826) and Frances (Fanny) Percy (b 1837). Phinian had nine siblings, William (1859-1936), John (1864-1943), Thomas (1865-1903), George (b 1866), Alfred Henry (1871-1930), Jane (b 1872), Susan (b 1873), James (1874-1965) and Edward Percy (b 1880).

Frederick and Phinian had ten children,

Norman Edward Haldenby was born on 22 March 1901 in Westford, Bruce County. He farmed in Hoyrood, Culross and died on 6 January 1970 in Wingham, Huron County.
