Michael Fischer was born on 6 August 1894 in Culross to Michael Fischer (1865-1933) and Anna Benninger (1865-1950). Michael had twelve siblings, Alphons (1888-1959), Ludwina Regina (1890-1968), Dominic Francis (1891-1947), Gregor (1892-1963), George (1895-1977), Edward (1897-1953), Linus (1899-1946), Leo (1901-1902), Eugene (1902-1953), Alfred (1905-1970), Isidore (1907-1950) and Mary Annie (1908-1971).
Michael married Lucia Ludwina Georgina Kunkel on 25 February 1919 in Formosa, Bruce County. Lucia was born on 27 August 1897 in Carrick Twp, Bruce County to Christian ((1859-1948) and Mary Magdalen Schaefer (1859-1918). Lucia had four siblings, Emily/Amelia (1887-1955), Adelina (1888-1957), Agnes Lucy (1891-1970) and Elenora (Laura) (1893-1989).
Michael and Lucia had five children,
Rosena (b 1920),
Magdalen Mary (1921-1929),
Helen Josephine (1923-1925),
Michael John (1928-1987) and
Robert Patrick (1939-2006).
Michael and Lucia farmed in Formosa. Michael died on 29 August 1974 in Formosa and Lucia died on 15 October 1985 in Walkerton, Bruce County.
