Peter Linehan was born on 10 August 1865 probably in Culross to Walter Linehan (b 1826) and Hannah (b 1934). Peter had ten siblings, Mary (b 1856), Catherine (b 1858), Julia (b 1860), Hanora (b 1862), Ellen (b 1862), Hannah (1863-1933), Bridget (b 1866), Elizabeth (b 1868), Michael John (b 1871) and Maggie (b 1875).

Peter married Catherine (Kate) Murray between 1891 and 1901.

Kate was born on 20 September 1865 in Hastings, Ontario to James Murray (1822-1900) and Elizabeth O’Brien (1827-1892). Kate had eight siblings, John (1849-1933), Patrick (1857-1928), Peter (1858-1939), Matthew (1860-1882), Elizabeth (1861-1945), James (b 1865), Mary Ann (b 1868) and Daniel Joseph (1872-1948).

Peter and family lived and farmed in Culross until at least 1929. Kate died on 20 July 1929 and is buried in St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Holyrood, Bruce County. Peter later farmed in Holyrood and then Greenock, Bruce County.

Kate’s brother, John Murray was born on 8 December 1849 in Hastings County. By 1891 he had settled in Culross where he farmed until retired. John never married and he died on 28 April 1933 in Teeswater.

Kate’s brother, Daniel Joseph Murray was born on 7 January 1872 in Culross. Daniel married Agnes Cathlene (on 26 January 1909 in Chepstow, Bruce County. Agnes was born on 14 October 1881 in Greenock, Bruce County to Cornelius “Neil” Leonard(1835-1915) and Margaret Stapleton (1842-1909). Agnes had ten siblings, Mary (1863-1936), James (1863-1919), Ellen (1866-1937), Catherine (1868-1951), Margaret (b 1872), Susanah (1874-1932), Ann (b 1875), Patrick Stephen (1878-1937), Bridget Louise (1883-1916) and Hugh John (1885-1902).

Daniel farmed on Concession 12 Lot 32, Culross in 1911. Daniel and Agnes had eight children,

Mary (1911-1911),
John Wilfred (1912-1992),
Helen "Sister Stella" Marie (1915-1981),
Leonard (1917-1917),
Margaret Elizabeth (1919-1985) and
Leonard J Len (1921-1998).

It is thought that Daniel died about 1948 and that Agnes died about 1962.
